Senior Technical Project Manager/ Technical Project Manager

The role holder will take the leadership in software project planning, resourcing, progress reporting, project team management, troubleshooting and the continuing maintenance of good customer relations.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Deliver end-to-end project deliveries successfully, within scope, on time, within budget, and of quality.
  2. Manage a multi-discipline team (both functional and technical as well as client teams): carry out end-of-team performance appraisals for team members involved, identify with them and report training and development needs.
  3. Prepare and communicate the Development Plans for the teams to be aligned with the project plan.
  4. Plan, manage and maximize utilization of project resources
  5. Implement and manage project change control procedures
  6. Monitor quality of deliverables according to the implementation methodology and standards and maintain project file and documentation
  7. Contribute to the business and technical aspects of the project as needed
  8. Manage and own the resolution of all inter work stream issues
  9. Produce project dashboards and hold project meetings, on a regular basis, with the team and separately with the client to ensure that project is on track
  10. Inform management on issues outside own responsibilities that may affect the success of a project or company position with the client.
  11. Handling multiple teams is a must for the senior role
  12. Obtain client sign-off on: project definition and scope, project deliverables and agreed milestones and all change control items
  13. Determine the scope and clear business objectives of the project and the critical success factors of implementing projects
  14. Manage client expectations, develop and maintain close relationships with the client and ensure client is fully satisfied

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Project Management Certifications (PMP, ACP, CSM) are preferred
  • Professional with 5+ years or more experience as a Project Manager/ Technical Project Manager (For senior position it should be 8+ years)
  • Previous experience in Business Analysis, Systems Design, Testing and review activities highly preferred
  • Prior to PM experience, previous expertise in the Insurance Financial, or Healthcare Domains. Prefer candidate worked as a Business or Technical Consultant before
  • Must have experience managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Must have experience working with foreign clients
  • Must have experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Good Oral / Written communication and presentation skills
  • Experienced in negotiating with clients and management
  • Result-oriented and strong people management skills
  • Financial reporting skills in forecasting, budgeting and reporting
  • Prior experience of managing multiple development teams of 6-12 people
  • Strong sense of responsibility
