IT Manager -Technical

SYNERGEN Health is searching for an experienced IT Manager who can maintain and expand our computer networks. The IT Manager will be responsible for coordinating, planning, and leading computer-related activities in our organization. The IT manager should be able to determine the IT needs of the organization and will be responsible for implementing computer systems to fulfill the organization's information systems requirements, managing the IT staff and keeping the executive team up to date on the latest networking technologies that could help the company to succeed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Running regular checks on network and data security
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve the IT infrastructure and data security
Developing and implementing IT policies and best practice guides for the organization
Conducting regular audits on the IT infrastructure
Maintain ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 standards and lead the IT team in internal and external ISO audits
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
Oversee the documentation in the IT infrastructure and making sure it’s up to date with all relevant information
Monitoring the IT helpdesk and ensure the team meets the set Service Level Agreements
Work with vendors on procurement of good and services and monitor and report on their Service Level Agreements
Working with other Department Heads / Managers to fulfill their department’s IT requirements
Running and sharing regular reports on IT Infrastructure with Leadership Team
Managing and reporting on the allocation of the IT budget
Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
Designing training programs and workshops for the IT team members
Providing direction for the IT team members and guide them with regards to career progression
Identifying opportunities for team trainings and skills advancement
Be the go-to person for the IT team members whenever they need expert advice on technical matters
Ability to work US work hours.

Skills and Technical Qualification:

Must have

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in leading a medium-sized IT team
Minimum of an associate-level certification in AWS or Azure cloud services
IT/Computer Science/Networking related degree from a recognized University
Hands-on experience in Windows and Linux server environments
Hands-on experience in managing office 365 and cloud infrastructures such as MS Azure and AWS
Strong knowledge in managing cloud and on-premises IT infrastructure
Hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure and maintaining the industry’s leading firewall systems and switches
Sound knowledge in server virtualization with VMWare and MS Hyper-V
Good oral and written communication
Good presentation skills
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
